she was so tiny!!!

they were so excited!!!

I remember going to the doctor like it was yesterday....sammy was at MDO...it was pajama day....jack had a rough day at school and Miss Mary called me to get him early...we went on a little date to La Baguette....spent the day together and then ran for a quick non stress test on the baby...I had been doing them twice a week for a few weeks so there was no reason that I thought that day would be any different than any other appointment....the nurse took my blood pressure and listened to the baby for a while....then went to talk to dr.stanley....she stuck her head back in and said "how long ago did you eat?" I knew right then that we were having the baby that night....she just smiled then dr.stanley came in and said "go pack your bag and meet me up at the hospital in a few hours!!!" sweet jack was with me and he picked up his hand like it was a phone and called his favorite truck "sidestep" and said "we're going to have a baby tonight!" it was such a fun surprise!!! kind of strange having a baby at night instead of my normal scheduled morning c-section....but very fun!

molly reed is ONE today!!!! the birthday girl woke up in the best mood!!
we had pink pancakes and tiny pink donuts for breakfast

her big brothers love her so much!!!

we had lunch at the tea room with mimi. this little tray is called the princess tray...very fitting for our little birthday princess!!!

{this is the same tea room that we took molly to her first lunch out when she was 2-3 weeks old....the boys behavior was much more acceptable for a tea room this year!!!!}

after we dropped jack at school we went and had our piggies painted!

{or at least tried to...she moves too much and i think only a few of them ended up with paint on them!}

we had a nice quiet dinner at home and then she had her cake! we have been working on blowing out her candle for the last few weeks! she LOVED it!!!

she also loved the cake!!!

I cannot begin to tell you how much we love you! You are such a special little girl and you have brought so much JOY to our lives this year! I know that the Lord has big plans for you and your sweet brothers! I love that He picked me and daddy to raise you...He has blessed us more than I could ever imagine!!!! You are FULL of life...you have this super sweet, sensitive side that I love...if you see one of your brothers getting in trouble you lean towards them to kiss or hug them....it is so cute!!! you also have this SUPER sassy side where you boss us all around and you get on to the boys!!! you just talk gibberish to them but it really does sound like you are scolding them!!! JACK JARVIS!!!!!

Jack's school is having a little Turkey Trot as a school fundraiser on Friday...so this week they are doing fun things each day....today was a contest for the best homemade turkey hat.....Jack won! He was so proud!!!! We had talked about it all weekend of what we should make and I mentioned we should make a cooked turkey with the little white paper frills on the legs....he had his heart set on it so Monday night we had to sew and stuff a little turkey!!!!

I have been terrible about blogging lately! So, I thought I would just do a quick little recap of October and hope that I go back and catch up at some point!!! Three kiddos keeps me a little busy these days!!!!I love this pic of my parents with the kids!
This was taken after MiMi's birthday picnic! My kids are so blessed to have such special grandparents!!!!
My three amigos! Jack is a red ninja, Sammy is snake eye {I think from GI JOE...he's never seen this before but I think daddy mentioned he liked it when he was little and sammy was sold on it!} and my little lady bug! I can't lie...I was a little sad about the costumes this year....It was our first year for me to not make the costumes and for them to actually pick what they want to be.....i thought that I would make their costumes for at least a few more years ...I did throw out a few ideas too...the three little pigs, raggedy ann and two andy's....the boys were just not feelin' it so we went with ninjas and a lady bug!!!

I was just telling your daddy today that I don't know where this year went! You are getting so big!!! I love this new little stage you are in....but I miss my tiny little baby girl!
We went to the OU-TEXAS game this weekend in Dallas and took you along...you were so good and we had the best time...but I really missed the boys...when we got back and you saw them your face just lit up...I think you missed them too!!! I love the sweet relationship that you have with your brothers! They both just adore you...they just have very different ways of showing it! Jack talks baby talk to you and says "jackie love you, yes he does....." about 500 times a day and Sam hits you, bonks your head....all the fun things that brothers do to pester sisters....but I really think it is his way of showing you attention! He is only 3 and I just don't really think he knows what to do with babies yet....

I cannot believe you are 9 months old and we will be celebrating your 1st birthday in just 3 short months!!! I feel like you just joined our family a few months ago! It makes me sad that you are growing up so fast but I truly feel like each stage is better than the last! You are wanting to get down and be right in the middle of whatever your big brothers are doing these days....you love your "bu-ba's" so much!!
We celebrated your birthday today with a quick picnic at the park {where our sweet mimi broke her wrist!!} and then your 1st Edmond Bulldog football game tonight! You were a bit of a turkey at the game and fussed through most of it....but you did love watching the cheerleaders at half time!!!

sCHOOL dAYS

My first baby started Kindergarten today.... jack, sam, and molly before school today...I love these sweet kiddos!

I found Jack the cutest little messenger bag a few weeks ago in Dallas! He loves it and thinks he looks like a big boy!!! He wore it around the house all morning and even in to one store before school started....

I try to change this little hutch out with seasonal decorations and I have been waiting to decorate it special for Jack's 1st day of school....

sammy was having no part of pictures by this point....so here are three of my favorite people...the other one had a rough day today! Bless his heart!

bob met us for lunch before school...such a fun treat for the kids and me! we love our daddy!!!Jack has a super sweet teacher this year! Ms. Snow...I think she is going to be perfect for him!!!! We have done a lot of praying over where Jack was going to be this year and really wanted a certain school....until about two weeks ago it did not look like he was going to be able to go there....but God is so good and we got a call saying a spot had opened up!!! We know several sweet families there and I feel like he is exactly where he is supposed to be!!

he looks like such a big boy!!! he had the best day and loves school! when he got in the car he had a huge smile on his face!!!!

eIGHT mONTHS oLD!

hAPPY 8 mONTH bIRTHDAY lITTLE bIRDIE! Sweet Molly Reed...

Every day I think you get a little bit sweeter! You are in the middle of a terrible ear infection right now that has been hanging around for two weeks now...we are on the second round of antibiotics and you still have a sweet little smile on your face and barely make a noise! The other night you did have a terrible fit in the middle of the night which woke the whole family up...we were all 4 just staring at you.... I think we were so shocked to hear you like that! You are always so sweet and mild mannered! When we went to see the doctor Jack said "be sure and tell him about that loud thing in the middle of the night the other night!!!" Little does he know that him and his brother kept us up plenty of nights like that when they were babies!!!

We celebrated your 8 month birthday today with a trip to Pop's with MiMi! You tasted tomatoes, grilled cheese sandwich, and I think MiMi might have snuck in a french fry!!!

*you sleep pretty good right now...you remind me more of Jack's sleep patterns than Sammy's....you sleep a really long stretch and do better if you go down close to 8:00 and then you wake anywhere from 4-6 and eat really quick and go back down until about 8:00!!! It is a great schedule!!! Jack did sleep 8-8 a lot earlier than this but this is the little schedule he was on for a long time!

*you love your brothers and Jack thinks you said "bu-bah" the other day!! it is really cute because he was SOOO excited!!! and the more you "thought" we could understand you the more you would say it!

* you say something that sounds like "ninny" all the time...MiMi is convinced that you are saying her name!!!

*you have taken 3 little road trips now and you are a great little traveler! You aren't crazy about your car seat for long periods of time or if the car is still...so I am always worried it's going to be bad...but you have done great!!! {bartlesville, lake texoma, and dallas...and we are going on our first ever mommy/daughter shopping trip to dallas this weekend with mimi and gigi!!! I am SOOO excited!!!!}

We are trying to enjoy every minute of these little cuties!!! They are getting so big!

Jack starts school in a little less than a month and my heart just breaks thinking about him being away from me every day! We are lucky that Edmond still has 1/2 day kindergarten so the transition shouldn't be too bad...and in the last few days I really feel like the Lord has changed my heart that this is a very exciting time for him and I want to be excited about it too...I LOVED school so much when I was little {not so much when I was older...} and I hope that he loves it too!! He tells me all the time that he is ready to go to big boy school where you sit at desks and do science and math!!!

Yesterday he was sitting at his little table in deep thought drawing on a magna doodle and when I asked him what he was doing he said "oh just designing something....it's an invention that is powered by the sun, that means it has a solar panel" ...he might be smarter than his mommy already!!! sweet boy!

Sam Thomas....this little guy is about the sweetest thing right now! He has such an ornery little side to him but when it comes down to it he might also be out sweetest of the three!!! Sam's wife is going to be a lucky girl because when he loves you he really knows how to make you feel so special! Usually this is Bob that gets all the love but this summer he has been pretty sweet to his mommy too!!! He is a snuggle bunny!!! He will just sit on your lap and grab your face and love on ya~it's about the best thing ever! Up until this point Sammy has always wanted to do everything that Jack does and be just like his big brother and this summer it has been so fun to see him turn into an independent little boy who has his own little ideas!!! I love watching him play and learn things on his own!!!

The other day Jack was upset with something that Sammy was doing and said "Sam, if you don't stop you are going to see my dark side!" (maybe we are a little too into superheroes right now!!) well a few days later Sammy was annoyed with Jack and said "Jack you are going to see my hot side!!!" I asked him if he meant his dark side and he said "yeah, my dark side and my hot side!"

I LOVE these little boys!!!

Miss Molly....she is still our sweet little baby girl...BUT, she might be going through a little something right now....some people like to call it separation anxiety...I like to call it L-O-V-E!!! I mean if i leave the room to answer the door the girl has tears running down her face! it's pretty sad...but I know the day of her not wanting me to be around is right around the corner....so for today I am going to try to enjoy it!!!

Sammy looks so sad in this pic...but it was the best one of the other two...Sam is not really into pics right now....can't blame him...I don't like being in them either! I love these three little kiddos more each day!!! We just got back from the lake tonight...we had a great time! Bob and I talked several times this weekend about how little Jack Robert is growing up right before our eyes!!! He is turning into a sweet little man! We love seeing him enjoy each new stage of being a big boy! He loved spending time with all the cousins!! Sammy is just a little sweet heart! I think this weekend I realized how old Jack is and how young my little Sammy is! He wants so bad to be big and do all the things that Jack gets to do....but he is still very much my little baby boy! He loves to cuddle and be held!! He adores his daddy!!! He loved playing with Zach and Ryan!!! He calls them "the cousins" ...it is the cutest thing!! He really does have such a calm, sweet little spirit the older he gets! Don't get me wrong he is still our tough little man who loves to wrestle and can beat up his big brother...but deep down I think he might be our little sweet heart! Miss Molly enjoyed her 1st 4th of July too! She had lots of fun little clothes and swim suits to wear and we were only there for one weekend so we had a little fashion show almost and she changed clothes and swim suits a few times a day!!! Jack and Sammy's favorite is this little "bee-kini" that she is wearing in the picture! They thought it was pretty funny that Molly had a "bee-kini" ...and they think saying the word like this is even funnier! She is so easy and just adjusts well no matter what we are doing...I'm always worried how she might do when we are doing things that are really more age appropriate for the boys...we are always pleasantly surprised!

I will have to do another post about the lake later...but right now I think this momma is going to bed!! The lake with 3 kiddos 5years and under is anything but relaxing!!! We are TIRED! :)

I am a little late posting this... I love my dad so much!! He is such a good dad to me and my sister! I LOVE watching him be "Poppy" to my kiddos! He is the best! They all three adore him so much!!! He can make the boys laugh so hard and he is just a total mush about Miss Molly!!! I am so proud of my dad!!

Dad, I hope you had a great Father's Day and hope you loved Luby's!!!! It will probably be a year before we go again!! {my dad loves the cafeteria!!! We give him a hard time about it and we never want to go there....so last week my mother and I decided it would be fun to take him there for Father's Day lunch....I was actually pleasantly surprised that it was clean and good...and the boys LOVED it! Jack ate more than he ever does!!! it was pretty funny!}

So, I might be the world's worst gift giver when it comes to Bob...and he is the best with me...so this year I decided to try to step it up a bit...I think he liked it!!!

We did something special every day last week for him {i totally stole this idea from him...he's done it for me a few times!} I don't have pics of everything we did, but here are a few...

We had "DAD" donuts made for him in his favorite flavor, maple!!

Here is Bob with his dad and our kiddos! We had a yummy dinner at Bob and Reda's on Sunday night!

One day while Bob was at work we made him some cookies that he likes and I had the boys tell me their favorite things about Bob...it was really cute to see all the things that they came up with! Both of the boys think their daddy is pretty special!!!

One of his gifts was this picture framed for his office....{I LOVE that she is all dolled up and they are in undies and capes...that is pretty much what you get around here!!! we love a good super hero cape right now!!!}

we also got him some new tennis shoes, a few new shirts, the boys wore their "dad rocks" shirts one day, we had daddy's best friend over for dinner one night, we went to see toy story 3 as a family, and then celebrated all day on Sunday!

I know everyone thinks their husband is the best....but Bob really is! :)

He loves us all so well! He is the perfect daddy to all three of our kids! I love to see him with them! Jack thinks he is so cool and the smartest man in the world..Sammy thinks he is his best friend and wants to be by his side all the time and Miss Molly's little face just lights up when she sees him!!! I am so lucky to get to parent with Bob! He is so wise at leading our family and I love him more and more each day!!! When we very first started dating I was a nanny for 3 little girls and I remember seeing him with them for the first time and just knowing that he was going to be an amazing daddy one day!!! He is way better than I ever imagined!!!

I have not been this excited about summer since I was about 16!!!! Having a child in school is so different!!! I love having all the kids home with me all day!!! {let's see if I am still saying that in August!!! ;)

The boys had the best time at the Kiddie Park last weekend in Bartlesville!!! I love this picture of Jack!!!

so far we are off to a great summer....we've been to bartlesville, the library twice, spent lots of time with mimi, had a picnic with our life group, had a baby shower for our sweet friends the Tedescos....and it's only been one week!!!!

sam thomas...you LOVE life! you are a happy little boy and bring so much joy to our family!Sammy is so funny! he is so silly and funny in front of our family but then in a crowd he is so shy and quiet! my mom tells me all the time that I was like that when i was little! He is so smart and so sweet....he surprises me everyday with new things that he has just learned on his own! he brought me home a card the other day from school and when I asked him what it was for he just "because i wuv you!" I teared up a little bit!!! later that night i noticed that the teacher had written on the back of the card and it said "i love my mommy because...because I love her" and it made me laugh out loud....that is so sammy! he loves me just because i am his mommy! he can give a run for my money at times and definitely knows ALL my buttons and pushes them all the time....but when he is being a sweet boy {which is most of the time!} nobody can make you feel more special than sam!

jack robert- you have such a sweet spirit and a funny little personality!This little man keeps me on my toes! He is growing up to be such a sweet young man! I cannot believe that he is already 5! I love our conversations! I hope that we are always close!!! I love being a boy mom! It has been so much fun having a little girl now too....but I truly LOVE being a boy mom! My dad was very close with his mom {and so were his other 4 brothers} he would tell me stories of how when he was at school if they had a party and got a cupcake or treat he would wrap it up and take it home to his mom....how sweet is that? well, the other day i picked Jack up from school and asked him how his day was....he said, "well, we had P.E. and I found a little pink button the floor that looked like the button from your pink pajamas and i thought you might like it but i lost it on the playground"....he knows my favorite color is pink and the fact that he thought of me when he saw a pink button just about made this mommy's heart melt! I know that people tell me that they won't want to be close to their mommy when they are older....but I sure hope that they are wrong!

we have had a great day! we started this special mother's day by dedicating molly reed at church! all of my babies have been dedicated on mother's day! she is a little doll baby and the boys were so sweet! they looked so handsome in their little pink shirts!! we picked a special verse to be spoken over molly at church and it was so sweet! we picked proverbs 3:5-6

the kiddos had a great time playing out in the yard..jack had everyone running races and he would start them with his gun!

sammy was NOT in the mood to have pics taken today but I did manage to get this cute pic of him and his best buddy!!! this boy LOVES his daddy!!!! {my favorite part of this pic is his spidey ring! sammy always has something random that he carries around or is attached to! he has worn this ring that came off of a cupcake at a birthday party all weekend!!!!! i love him so much!}

i love this pic of our sweet nephews! the little boys had the best time just running around playing with their cousins! we are so blessed to have sweet family for our kids to grow up with! it is going to be so fun watching them all grow up together!

we had lunch at our house after church with both sides of our family and it was so fun! this is the kids table and look at little miss right in the middle of all those boys! we do this every night for dinner and jack always says "mom, can we make molly the center piece?"

we are also so lucky to have families that get along and enjoy each other's company! this is both of our moms laughing about something!

The last few months have been super busy around here!!! I am going to try to go back at some point and blog about a few of these things {since this is sort of a scrap book for my kids} but for tonight {and since I will be posting Miss Molly's 5 month pics tomorrow and it's been a month since I've posted anything...} I just have a few random pics...

my 3 little sweet peas! I LOVE these three kiddos! It is so hard to get a good pic of 3 kids looking at the camera!!!
Miss Molly at her first OU game! we took her to a baseball game and it was a little windy so she is all bundled up!

We celebrated the boys turning 3 and 5 with a Jarvis County Fair! Here is Jack with the cake {and his sweet buddies Dax and London} Sammy snuggled on MiMi's lap and ended up falling asleep and missed the entire party!!! The moon bounce was still here when he woke up so he did get to go out and jump for a bit....later that night he told me what a great time he had at his party!!! Bless his heart! He's cried at one and slept at two....

My little cowboy! Jack had Land Run day at school! The asked for all the kids to dress in western clothes...He was so cute!!!

we've had a few play dates with the Whitlocks lately!!! Bobbi and I are finally brave enough to get 6 kids ages 5 and under together!!! We were talking about how it seriously seems like not that long ago that we were expecting Max and Sammy and now they are big enough to hold their little brother and sister!!!! Sammy is such a good big brother to Molly!!! He sometimes loves her a little too much!!! He will say "mom, is it okay if i just kiss her squishy spot" {instead of soft spot!} I am always telling him to be careful with her little head!!!

Last weekend we went to a super fun party for our sweet little nephews!!! It was at Orr Family Farm!!! The boys had so much fun!!! We love you Zach and Ryan!!!!

Jack had his Spring program at school a few weeks ago and he did so good!!!! Here he is with Grandma & PaPa and MiMi & Poppy!! We were so proud of him!!!

This is about how old Jack and Ella were when Bobbi and I started having play dates!!!! It was so sweet little Will reached over and grabbed Molly's hand! It's like they already know they are going to be friends!!!! They are the sweetest little babies!!!

hAPPY4 mONTH bIRTHDAY lITTLE bIRDIE! Our little baby doll turned 4 months old today!

We cannot believe that we have already had her for 4 months! She has been the sweetest blessing! She is so happy and loves her big brothers so much!!!! We have had the craziest month with moving, birthday parties, Easter.....and she has just been the best little baby!! I caught this little smile this morning before we left to go to an Easter egg hunt...

Miss Molly, at four months you are...

a chunky little monkey! we will find out at your appointment on Monday how much you weigh...but you are a big girl!!! I love it! you have the cutest little chubby cheeks!!!UPDATE: Miss Molly weighed in at 15.8!!! {that would be 90% for her age!!!}
you still are not a huge fan of tummy time but you can push your little body up on your arms and hold your head up really well when you do it!
you have a new nick name to add to the other 300 that your big brother Jack has given you..."Molster Truck" {instead of Monster Truck}
you went to your 1st OU game on Friday night...we went to one of the baseball games...all of our kiddos first OU games were baseball! She did great and loved being outside!!!
you still sleep great! you were waking up a little bit the first few weeks in the new house...but you are doing great now that we are settled in!
you wear mostly 6 month clothes! {some 9 months}
you wear size 3 diapers!
you laughed for the first time this month....MiMi was tickling you and you let out a sweet little giggle! we have only been able to get you to do it a few times since then....but you still smile ALL THE TIME!!! {at anyone who will look at you!!!}

I was looking through some pics of Jack tonight and I cannot believe how much he has grown up in the last year!!! He is my little man! I feel like he always has been!!! He understands things without anyone explaining them to him and just carries on the funniest little converstations with me! I love him so much!!!! I cannot believe that 5 years ago today he was born!!!Jack- you are the best big brother to Sammy!!! He loves you so much and looks up to you so much! We are so blessed to have you as the leader to all of our children! God created you to be the oldest and you are so good at your role!!! (with that being said you might have taken it a little to far today when you kept yelling at your little brother "it's my birthday and I get decide everything!!!" you might be a little bit bossy!!!)

tHE jARVIS fAMILY iS mOVING!!!

So almost a month ago we listed our house with my dad to just kind of "see what happens" ...there was a house that we loved but we didn't know if it would still be available when and if our house sold....we have been looking for a long time and just decided that we wouldn't list our house until we found something that we liked....

it was hard to explain to the boys because we didn't want to get their hopes up that we were moving and then the house sit on the market for like 6 months or something...so we just told them that we were going to wait and see what God wants us to do....my family was in town for a little meet molly party and my cousin Elizabeth asked the boys if we were moving and Sammy said "we are going to wait and see if God wants us to move because GOd knows a lot about houses!!" how cute is that!?!?

So, my dad listed our house on Tuesday, had our first showing on Wednesday and sold our house on Saturday!!! and on top of all of that the couple buying our house wanted a 30 DAY CLOSE!!! seriously? Things have been a little crazy over here but we are super excited and so blessed!!! We have most of the house packed up and we are ready to get in the new house to do the boy's birthday party that we had to push until the end of the month....and then in April I will catch my breath!

So, if you are looking for a great realtor you should seriously use my dad! He has helped pack, touch up walls, babysit, answer all kinds of questions, paint, hold a baby....we might be getting a little bit of special treatment!!!

hAPPY 3 mONTH bIRTHDAY lITTLE bIRDIE!!!molly reed turned 3 months old today and she has a terrible little cold!!!! she might have caught it from a charming little three year old who cannot stop kissing her!!!!! so she got to have a "stay in your jammies all day"!!! bless her heart...she cannot breathe, has a runny nose and a cough and she still has a big smile on her face most of the time!!! i know she is mine...but she might be the sweetest baby ever!!!! her chalk board that i normally take her pic with must be packed away already....so i decided to put her in a box for this months pics....because we are moving!!!!!

i don't have any of her stats because we haven't been to the doc yet...but here is what our little doll is up to...

sam was not feeling 100% on his birthday...poor guy has double ear infections right now!!! but we still tried to celebrate and make it a special day for him!!!!he got to pick what we did all day...he picked pop's for lunch and chuck e cheese for dinner! mimi came over with some fun balloons and gifts and spent the day with us...it was lots of fun!!!!! here is sammy with chuck!!!!sam loves this little ride! it takes a picture of you while you are driving a car!!!
i told them to hold up a three and a five {jack will be five on monday} they did it but got it backwards!!

the boys have been super funny lately! we rented a few movies from the library last week...one of them was mary poppins, which ended up being a HUGE hit with the Jarvis boys! Sammy is kind of our little tough boy and one day I came in the living room to see him dancing SO BIG and singing "chim-chim charoo, I likes what I like and I likes what I do!" it was so funny to see him do it because Sammy's little personality is just not the type to be singing show tunes!!! we really get into movies around here!! last week it was mary poppins and we had umbrellas out all week and sang all the songs....the week before that was Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs and we had a little lab set up behind the chair where the boys would go and type on their play computers and then go around the living room throwing all the food from their play kitchen up in the air! this week they are into star wars {they haven't seen it but they have seen the little lego star wars and are very interested in what it is?!?!?} so now both of them are going around the house with their little fingers up like guns making funny little boy gun noises!!! {jennifer and I NEVER made these noises growing up! I think they come wired with really good car and gun noises!?!?!?} They also found an old scooby doo movie at my parent's house with Batman and Robin in it...Jack wants to be Batman and Sammy WANTED to be Robin until he was being super naughty today at the picture place and was doing this evil little giggle saying he was the JOker! what sweet little two year old would want to be the bad guy!?!?! We are so blessed to be these little guys mommy and daddy!!! they definitely make us laugh!!! For some reason Blogger is not letting me add a pic to this post....

Molly Reed turned 2 months old today! Time is FLYING right now!!! I feel like I just posted about her one month birthday! She gets sweeter by the day!!! We went to see Dr. Crittenden today and he said she was just perfect! We are so blessed!!! I think Molly is going to follow in the footsteps of her two big brothers and LOVE the doctor!!! She did great and even gave him a few sweet little smiles!!!

The first set was actually done the morning after she was born...Brittany came to the hospital and did a little session for us and then a few weeks later came to our house and did some more and then a few weeks after that we went to her studio in Norman and she did even more!!! {I LOVE PICTURES!!!} You can go to her website and see all of them! For a while now Molly has been smiling...but the last two weeks she just smiles like crazy! It is so cute! I have been trying to get a picture of her smiling but had no luck.... MiMi was over the other day and helped me get some really great pics of her! This is one of her smiling right at her MiMi! She loves her so much!!! Jack loves when she smiles at him and wants to tell everyone he meets that if you smile at his sister she will smile right back at you! He is so sweet with her! We all love her so much!

Last week we met our sweet friends Houston and Kristin Sneed for dinner at Pop's! We love the Sneeds so much!!! Their little girl Lily is ADORABLE!!!! Happy 7 year Anniversary Bob!!!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I LOVE this man! I am truly married to my very best friend! I pray for my children's spouses all the time and I always pray that they have a sweet relationship like Bob and I have! We are very blessed that both of our parents have been married for 30+ years and have been great examples to us!

I can't believe it has been 7 years!!! {I also can't believe that we have had 3 kids in that amount of time!!!} I remember our wedding like it was yesterday! The whole day...getting my hair done that morning with my bridesmaids, having breakfast at Scotty's with my mom, sister and Dana Parker, my dad trying his tux on for the first time right before the wedding and realizing it was a little snug, Bob's groomsmen using the lint brush on us during the ceremony...

I loved my wedding...but more than that I love being married!!!

Bob is SUPER sweet and writes me a letter every year on our anniversary! {he actually wrote a letter to me to ask me to be his wife and decided on his own that he would make it a tradition to do it every year...is that sweet or what?} In this years letter he wrote that he was living out his dream...and that is exactly how I feel!!! Every year has been better than the last and I cannot wait to see what the Lord has for the next 7 years!!!

I feel like I have been posting a lot about Miss Molly lately...so I thought I would do a little post about the boys!:: Sam Thomas::

He might just be the funniest child I've ever met....I know he's mine and every parent probably thinks that...but this kid is seriously FUNNY! *When we are going somewhere he never wants to put his shoes on and he will say "mom, can i just go in my feets?" {that means barefoot} *He wears this hat ALL the time!!! My mom came over one morning to see us and Sammy was in his jammies and hat....my mom asked if he slept in it? {he actually has before!!!} *he loves being a big brother! He calls Molly "ma-wee" in the sweetest little voice! I love to hear him talk to her! He is such a little tough guy but has the sweetest spirit! He tells her how glad he is that she is here! it will make your heart melt! He loves stretchy pants and on New Year's Day my family was having us over for lunch...I had out little blue button up shirts and jeans for the boys to wear...Bob came in shaking his head and told me to wait until I saw what Sammy came up with to wear....he came out in the dress shirt, sweat pants and little leather loafers and he was grinning from ear to ear! He LOVES his daddy!!! It is the sweetest relationship! He will just sit on Bob's lap and put both hands on his face and just stare at him! I love it! {although I do get a little jealous at times!} He loves life and we love him!!!!!!!::Jack Robert::
This little cutie is getting so big!!! I cannot believe I am going to have a FIVE year old in just a few months! He is super funny too! He says such clever little things that totally catch me off guard!!! He loves school and is making more and more friends every day! I always thought Sammy was going to be our social one...but he is actually really shy in big groups and Jack is talking every one's ear off! When I am alone with him I feel like I am with another adult! He is at a really fun age!!! He loves his daddy too! He starts at about 10 am asking "mom, when is dad going to be home?" He is so sweet with Molly! It's really sweet to see how each one of them are the perfect personality for their birth order! Jack is such a good leader to Sammy {maybe even a little bossy} and Sammy thinks everything Jack does is pretty special!
We love these little guys so much!

hAPPY oNE mONTH bIRTHDAY lITTLE bIRDIE! Miss Molly Reed turned one month old today! I can't believe it! In some ways I feel like we have had her forever and in some ways it feels like it was just yesterday that we were at the hospital.....Here she is in her little tutu! I thought she looked pretty cute!

I decided to do a quick Christmas post before I forget! This little cutie was by far our FAVORITE Christmas gift this year!!! God is SO GOOD!!! I was taking pics of her and just caught this cute little smile by accident!
Molly got her first baby doll from Mommy and Daddy this year! It is as big as she is!

The boys got bikes and lots of fun toys!

Sammy looks like such a big boy on his new bike!!! He got a tiny version of Jack's big boy bike! so cute!

I LOVED these and wore them all the time...I love that my little girl is wearing them now! They are so sweet!}

He LOVES her so much! It is so sweet! He always has little nick names for her! It is too cute! He calls her Moll, Dolly, Precious Baby...there is always a new one!!!

It snowed so much on Christmas Eve! This is Jack making a snow angel! He wanted to go out all day and then didn't last too long once he did! It was TOO COLD! The snow was fun...but it did throw a kink in our Christmas plans....

We made it {and got stuck a few times!} on our way to MiMi and Poppy's house...so we decided to just stay the night! We had a great day! This is MiMi and Poppy with all their grand babies getting ready for bed!

Santa was a little different this year.....

we went to a different mall than we have been to for the past 5 years...it is a little smaller and there are no lines and not a lot of children {germs} running around!

Molly is so little this year I decided to just leave her in the carrier! I wanted to take her since it is her first Christmas...but wasn't too big on the idea of the Santa who holds 100s of kids a day touching our baby girl....

the other thing that was a little different this year was Santa was just a bit chatty!!!! He talked a little too much and said things that might confuse a little child who believes in Santa! Jack asked Santa for a Polar Express train and Santa looked at me and said "I know just where you can get one of those....Hobby Lobby has them and with that 40% off coupon that would be a steal!!!" Seriously!!!! Jack got in the car with Bob and said "Dad, that Santa just told mom where to get that train...sometimes things are just weird, aren't they?"

the last few weeks have been crazy...but super fun!grandma, aunt nikki, uncle jason and the twins came to see us one night.....here is grandma lovin' on molly reed!

jack ran into the store with me the other day and wanted to get molly a little surprise....this little santa dress is what he picked out! he calls her molly claus! it is so sweet how much these boys LOVE their little sister!

we went to paint pottery last week to make molly her special ornament with her tiny hand print on it....the boys were so good and had so much fun painting! sammy painted a little dog and jack picked a mr and mrs snowman...

we are finally getting adjusted to having three kids! it is a little crazy...but so fun and i cannot imagine our life any other way! molly turns three weeks old today and i feel like we have had her forever! she is the perfect fit to our family!

we also went to see santa last week...but i will have to post about that later!

Thursday afternoon I went for a quick appointment for them to monitor baby Molly an check my blood pressure....that was at 1:00 in the afternoon....Dr. Stanley came in and said why don't you run home and get your bag and be back up at the hospital at 4:15 to have this baby!!! It was a little crazy...but I was more than ready to meet her....

I think all four of us are in LOVE with this little girl!! The boys adore her and Bob and I think she is pretty special too!!!Jack and Sammy were the first ones back to the room to meet her!!! Jack just kept saying "this is the best day of my whole life!" He has such a sweet spirit!!!
Sammy is doing such a good job as a BIG BROTHER! Here he is holding her for the first time!!!
She just makes me smile! I think she is a good mix of both boys but maybe leaning more towards looking like Jack now....at first we all thought Sammy....but she looks a lot like Jack's baby pics to me!

I have been terrible about keeping up with the blog lately! I have lots to catch up on....but I thought that I would start with a few fun things that we have done at Jack's school lately! Jack goes to the sweetest school!!! We love it so much and we have been so impressed with it so far! He loves to go and is learning so much! Some of his favorite things about school are music class, computer lab, chapel {he tells us it looks like God's house!} and playing outside!I couldn't post about school without posting Jack's first school picture!!! I think he looks so handsome...but I don't know where this smile came from! heheeh

Jack had his first school program the other night and it was so cute! I might have even shed a few tears! I was so proud of him! Before we left he was so nervous and said he didn't want to do it if it was on the stage...and then when we got there he was so excited to see his sweet friends and teachers and he did GREAT!!!! Jack and Sammy made this super cute cake for me to celebrate my 30th Birthday!!!

On Monday of that week my sweet husband started the celebration by doing a gift for each day of the week!!! It was so sweet! He is way more thoughtful than I am when it comes to gift giving!!!! On Friday we went for a super quick over night in Dallas! Bob went to the OU/Texas game on Saturday morning and had a car set up to take me from the hotel to the mall for a fun day of shopping! How sweet is that? We got home late that night and the boys were waiting on me at MiMi and Poppy's house with balloons and "king-fetti" (as Jack likes to call it) It was so cute! MiMi let them do all the decorating and they had tied streamers everywhere and birthday signs....It was so sweet!!!! GiGi helped them make this pink cake for me! They were so proud! I'm not going to lie...the whole 30 thing is taking a while for me to warm up to...but I think I am off to a pretty good start! I have the sweetest husband ever, I love my boys SOOOO much and we are going to be joined soon by a sweet little baby girl! It doesn't get much better than that!

A celebration for Molly Reed

On Sunday afternoon some sweet friends had a little baby shower for our sweet little baby girl! It was lots of fun and we were blessed with some darling things for her!The cake with her monogram! It was so sweet!!!

My friend Kate got these tiny little lace leggings! I can't wait to see her chubby little legs in them!

The Russell/Arthur/Bibb Girls came from Tulsa!!! These little girls (Emalee & Kealyn) were so sweet and well behaved at the shower! Everyone was talking about it!

Sweet little Lily Sneed came to the shower!!! She is a little doll! I can't wait for her and Molly to meet! I know they will be sweet friends!

My sweet friends Hope and April! April has been a friend of mine for about 10 years and I have got to watch sweet Hope grow up...she has become such a beautiful young lady!!! I think Monty and April could write a parenting book....whatever they have done with her I want to do with mine! She is so mature and sweet!!!

a few fun molly facts:

she is named after both grandmothers...molly is from my mom who is named molly and reed for bob's mom who is named reda. (this has been our only girl name since we were expecting jack)
molly will be the first girl on both sides...my parents just have jack and sam...bob's nanny has NINE great grandsons!!!! molly will be number 10 and the only girl!
cravings: there have been A LOT of them....it started out with mexican food (which is normally NOT my favorite!), salad and baked potato from charleston's or mcAlisters, lemonade, pink lemonade, BBQ sandwiches (in fact bob went and got me so many there for a few weeks that jack would say "there's that place that mom just loves" when we would drive by), salsa, caesar salad, and sunkist!!! i have never liked flavored sodas but i had one this summer for some reason and it was about the yummiest thing that I had ever had!!! the one thing that has just not really tasted good at all and I hope lasts after the pregnancy is cheese!! It just doesn't taste as good as it used to and I still get a little sick if I eat it!
she is LOVED by 2 special little boys! it is funny to think that i was worried that they would be sad that it wasn't another boy! they are so excited about having a girl in the house!

We celebrated MiMi's birthday on Saturday! Jack and Sammy wanted to make her a cake this year so I thought it would be fun to just see what they came up with! Jack told me he was going to make his famous chocolate noodle cake with strawberries all around it and one on top.....he takes his cooking very serious!
Sammy does not! He takes the tasting pretty serious!

I decided to not help at all....I gave them two spoons and I dipped the strawberries ahead of time in chocolate...but they did it all by themselves!

And this was the finished product!!! It was so sweet and I think MiMi LOVED it!!!

Good Golly Miss Molly!!!

We had another ultrasound on Monday to see some sweet pics of our little girl!!! (or maybe not so little!!!!)I LOVE to go for ultrasounds! Every time we go I am a little nervous before and then when I see her moving around and hear the heart beating it makes me want to cry! The Lord has blessed our family so much!!!
These all three are pretty similar shots....she was moving around a lot this time and they were having a hard time getting pics of her face....

If you asked us right now we both think that she looks a lot like Sam Thomas! She has the chubby cheeks and big full lips like Sammy...but it is so hard to tell on these! We thought Sammy looked just like Jack Robert on the ultrasound too!!!

Well, we were there about 4 weeks ago for an ultrasound and she was tiny! Like 1 pound!!! This time they are saying she is FOUR POUNDS!!!! Our doctor said that they are usually a little high on the weight...but he looks at ultrasounds all day long and she is definitely BIG!!! Both boys were a little on the large side...but I think we were thinking that we might get this little dainty girl!?!?!? We can't wait to see her!!! I will post pics of her room soon...we still need a few things!

I love these little tee shirts on the boys! Since I was an Edmond Bulldog I am a sucker for a cute bulldog shirt!!

Jack loves to watch cooking shows with me! The other night we had spaghetti for dinner and Jack was telling me how much he liked it. He said "mom, I love the hotness and the flavor of this!" Later that same night he let Bob have a piece of his new bubble gum and said "do you taste the fruit in there? it's like happiness in your mouth!"

Bob looked at me and said "He is watching too much Food Network!"

Last night I had it on but wasn't really paying attention to it and he walked in the room and said "oh, are you watching chef vs. city?" It is too cute! We might have the next Bobby Flay on our hands!!!

Sammy's 1st Day of School

Sammy had his first day of Mother's Day Out last week and he was SO excited! For a month he would ask "when is my school?" every morning when Jack was getting ready for preschool! He started his day with breakfast in Mommy and Daddy's bed...his favorite (right now) "oak milk" (oatmeal)

We had an ultrasound on Monday to see our little birdie!

MiMi and Grandma came to see her and to help with the boys! It was their first time to go to an ultrasound and they were so cute! Sam was way more interested in the "green lotion" that was all over my belly and Jack was so sweet talking to her! He introduced her to everyone in the room...they are going to be the best big brothers!!! She looks like she is sucking her thumb in this one....

We are working like crazy to get ready for Molly Reed! The boys are so excited and LOVE helping with all of the projects! Jack has told me several times in the last month that he wants to be a man! It is the cutest thing! If Bob is changing a light bulb or anything he wants to hold the ladder... On Saturday he told Bob "call Jade and Poppy and lets just do some real man things!" MiMi came over to help paint the room and she had two very good helpers! She gave them each a brush and they LOVED it!!!

We are so excited about this little baby girl! The boys talk about their baby sister all the time!! Sammy will put his face up to my belly and say "oh, she hit me! put she in time out!" I don't know that he really understands that there is a little person that is going to come and live at our house soon! He calls her "baby Sisser" or "baby ma-we" ..it's super cute! Both boys talk about "their baby" all the time! I love that they feel involved and are excited!

As far as pregnancies go this one is by far my easiest! (knock on wood!) I was never really sick in the beginning like I was with the boys. We have a new doctor this time and he has been fabulous! We feel so blessed to be going there and as much as we LOVED our old doctor we feel like him and his office are a much better fit for our family this time! We have had an ultrasound at almost every appointment and it has been so sweet to see her grow!

The boys had their Lemonade stand last weekend and it was a huge success! Jack would yell out in this really funny voice "lemonade, get your lemonade!" I made some chocolate chip cookies and MiMi made them some snickerdoodles for them to sell too! They made $18.00! Jack is a little Bob Jarvis and when I asked him what he wanted to buy with his money he said he wanted to save it!!!

Jack was SUPER excited about his first day of school this morning!

I think his little back pack was bigger than him! He was so excited that I really thought that I was going to be able to hold it together and not cry....that didn't last long at all! I cried like a baby all morning!

after school snack on the "you are special today" plate....my mom made us chocolate chip cookies every year on our first day of school...I think I even got them on my 1st day of college!!!

I served him breakfast in mommy and daddy's bed on the same plate....his choice...blueberry muffins!

I had lost it way before this but this is where the tears just started flowing....THEY WALK IN ALONE!!! You go through the drop off and the teachers help them out of the car...there are teachers all along the way to their class to guide them... but he looked SO tiny walking in all alone! {Bob wasn't crying...but he did admit that this part was a little sad!} Jack was so proud of himself and thought he was such a big boy!!!

After school he had a fun little surprise bag waiting in the car! Here he is checking it out! I think he had a pretty good day! He didn't like having to do what a teacher said...he wanted to just play with whatever he wanted to and I think there were some tears on his part too...but as the evening went on he seemed more and more excited about it! He has precious teachers and I really think he is going to have a great year!

And I got to spend some time with this little cutie!!!

Sammy is the funniest little guy right now! We got in the car and K-LOVE was playing How great is our God by Chris Tomlin...which happens to be the same song that we sang at church while Jack was dedicated....I started crying because that seriously seems like a few weeks ago! It goes by so fast!!! Well, I really didn't want Jack to know that I was crying....he was so excited and I didn't want to ruin it for him or think it was something scary or sad...so I just grabbed a tissue and was wiping my face...well, Sammy said "mommy, what's wrong with you?" I said "oh, mommy just has a runny nose." he wrinkled up his little face and said "is it runnin' out your eyeballs?" He always makes me laugh!!

Our sweet boys have been really sick lately! Jack had croup last week and by Friday Sammy had it too! Bless their hearts! Here is Jack doing a breathing treatment and Sammy pretending to do one too! He loves his big brother so much and wants to do everything he does! One thing that is a HUGE blessing is my kids LOVE their doctor! Dr. Crittenden is amazing with my boys and Bob and I just adore him! We were saying prayers with the boys before bed and Sammy in his super soft praying voice said "Jesus, thank you for Dr. Crittenden!" How sweet is that??? Our family has been blessed with the best doctors and it makes a huge difference with kids!! Hopefully we will be able to stay healthy for a while...Jack starts school next week!

We are working like crazy to get the house ready for another baby! I think with the combination of it being number three and it being a girl this time....we really have a lot of work to do! We are having a huge garage sale this weekend and the boys are doing a lemonade stand...they are SO excited, so if you are in the area on Saturday stop by and get some! They would be thrilled! Jack told me he was only going to charge $1.00 because everyone has $1.00!!! Hopefully we'll be able to talk him down on his price or we are going to have to find some really yummy lemonade!

We took a little road trip to Kansas City last week and had the best time! We stayed in downtown Kansas City for the first few nights...here are the boys at Fritz's at Crown Center. (it's the super fun place that delivers your food to the table by a little train!) The boys LOVED it!!!

We walked around after dinner and there was a fun LEGO exhibit....here are the boys playing with the Lego's....I love that you can see Bob sneaking a little smooch from Jack in the background!

There were all kinds of fun things made completely from Lego's!

Sammy showing off his new car that he bought at the fun toy store! He actually dropped it in this fountain behind him and his sweet daddy had to take his shirt off in front of tons of people to fish it out!!! now if that's not love, I don't know what is!

The last few nights there we went to the Great Wolf Lodge. It was SO FUN! Here are my three little men at story time! The kids all wear their pj's and meet in the lobby! The boys loved it!!!

It was actually really cold while we were there! It was a nice break from the super hot weather...but it was almost a little too cold to swim! (even inside!) So we decided to play miniature golf one afternoon...Jack LOVED it!! We ended up playing again about two hours later!! Here is daddy helping Sam with his swing!

We kept saying "okay, Sammy put it in the hole" well little Sammy just picked up his ball and walked right down to the hole and dropped it in! It was the cutest thing!!!

We decorated PaPa's golf cart this year and participated in the parade! The boys had so much fun throwing candy and yelling "Happy 4th of July!!!"

We had a great weekend at the lake with Grandma and PaPa! The boys love their sweet cousins Zach and Ryan! I'm sure it's not a surprise that I am not a big lake girl!?!?! We took the boys to get snow cones last night to celebrate their little sister!!!

The boys are so excited!!! Jack told us yesterday when we told him that it was the most exciting day of his life! Sammy asked if she could sit by him at the snow cone stand!!! It's going to be so fun!!!

These two little boys LOVE their daddy so much! {I think he's pretty special too!!!}

Bob is such a great dad!!! He loves us and takes such good care of us!!! There are so many things about each boy that remind me of Bob and I absolutely love it! Personality wise, Jack is a mini Bob! He has such a sweet spirit and makes everyone around him feel so special! He walks like Bob, he's smart like Bob, he sees good in everyone just like Bob....he's my little Bob Jarvis! Sammy on the other hand is like looking at a little Bob! I think that his little face looks just like his daddy! Sammy is adventurous and loves life just like his daddy!!! I am so blessed that these little boys have such an amazing role model! I can only hope that they will grow up and be just like him!!!

We have had a super crazy week around here, so we are having a pretty low key Father's Day! This week my mom had a wreck, Sammy had a yucky virus, and Bob ended the crazy week with his appendix out on Thursday!! WoW!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

I am way behind on our blog....so I will try to go back and catch up a little bit...

Over Memorial Day weekend we went to Bartlesville for a Shea Family Reunion....We stayed at the Hotel Phillips...the boys LOVE staying at a hotel!!
On Saturday night we all went to the Kiddie Park....it is this super cute amusement park for toddlers! My mom took us there all the time when we were little so it was fun to take the boys! They had so much fun! Here they are in the little tiny Ferris wheel...Jack is a little scared of heights so I was really surprised when he said he wanted to ride...they did have to stop 1/2 way through the ride to let them off...Sammy decided he didn't like it too much!
These were some little tiny race cars...the boys are both so into cars right now...these were a hit!

1st time to ride bumper cars! Both boys kept getting stuck...after they got off Jack said, "I think mine was broken!"

These were tiny trucks! The boys LOVED these!!! I think they rode 3 times!! They were both taking it so serious!!! They loved the Kiddie Park!!! They rode most of the rides, went on a train ride and had LOTS of snack!!! I think my grandpa bought one of everything at the concession stand! cokes, cotton candy, snow cones, pop corn....the boys thought it was GREAT!

Here are the boys with my grandparents....we spent a lot of time here when we were little and it is fun to see the boys go to the same house that Jennifer and I played at when we were little! My grandparents are CRAZY about my boys! It is really sweet! They had so much fun playing out in their yard with these little airplanes that my grandpa gave them!

We are so blessed to still have grandparents! I have 3 and Bob has 1 and they are actually all in good health! My kids have a MiMi, a Poppy, a Grandma, a PaPa, 2 Great Grandpas, 2 Great Grandmas and 1 Great Step-Grandma!!! Do you think they are a little spoiled?

Bob was off on Good Friday and we had a fun family day! One of our stops was Cuppies & Joe...a new cupcake and coffee shop in downtown OKC...we have been wanting to try it for a while...it was YUMMY!!! The weather was so nice we sat out on the patio and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes!!!!

It was too bright for Sammy so he wore mommy's glasses!

We had a SUPER busy Easter weekend...but it was SO much FUN!!!

Bob was off work on Friday and we spent a great day together and took the boys to a yummy new cupcake place downtown...I will post about it later!

Then after dinner that night we colored Easter eggs! The boys thought it was lots of fun!!! One day last week MiMi came over and we did some fun little Easter crafts with the boys! One of them was this fun little house! MiMi used it on her table for Easter lunch! The boys were very proud!!

On Saturday we went to Norman for the Noles/Hartsock/Liddell Egg hunt! It was so fun! They do such a great job! There were a TON of kids!!! They had a Easter bunny walking around taking pics with the kids and passing out gifts, balloons, crafts....It was wonderful! The boys found lots of eggs and we had a great time visiting with some friends that we haven't seen in a long time!
After that egg hunt we went back to Edmond for another one at MiMi's house! This is Easter day after church! I thought the boys looked so handsome in their Easter clothes! like little men!!!

The boys with my cousin Elizabeth! They LOVE her so much.... it is so sweet! She is almost 13 and she is so good with them! Jack pretends like she calls him all the time and it is so cute to hear his little conversations with her! Sammy has started doing it too! He will pick up the play phone and say "Oh, hi ba-biz-a-bef!"

We hope everyone had a great Easter!!! The best part of the whole thing was on Monday we were at lunch and Jack said..."do you want to hear my Bible verse?" I thought he was talking about his alphabet verses that he has known for a long time now....but instead he said "Matthew 28:6 He is not here, He has risen, just as He said He would!"

It was the sweetest thing!

We are so blessed! I know every parent thinks their kids are so smart and so funny...but I am telling you these little boys are pretty special! They are at such fun stages right now and they are little buddies! Sammy is Jack's little shadow and it is so sweet to watch him want to be like his big brother! They have so much fun together and Bob and I have so much fun watching!

Some fun facts about the Jarvis boys!

Jack: He thinks he can do EVERYTHING now that he is four! He will buckle his seat and say "you know why I can do that? because I'm four!" It is so sweet to see how excited he is to grow up and do new things! He is starting soccer this weekend and he is SUPER excited about it! He is the only boy on the team and I still think he is the smallest! I really worried that it might bother him being the only boy...but all the girls were chasing him around and I actually think he kind of liked it!!! After the soccer meeting we went as a family to buy all of his soccer gear and he was so proud of it that he wore it ALL day! He has the sweetest spirit and is so in tune with people's feelings! He is such a smart little boy and he loves learning! He will be telling me a story and stop mid sentence to explain a word that he is using...he'll say "mom, do you know what that means? it means..." it is so funny!

Sammy: Oh, my little Sammy! He is so adventurous and just kind of tough....very opposite of his big brother! He is two but thinks he is 22! He makes me laugh before I get out of bed almost every morning! He is a very early riser so we usually let him drink a cup of milk in our bed every morning just so we can sleep a little longer! He can't wait for me to look at him and he says "hi mom!" in the sweetest little voice and usually as loud as he can! He talks ALL the time! It is crazy to think that we were ever worried about him talking because he won't stop now! Both boys are very into Herbie right now! We play "slug bug" a lot in the car when we see one...but Sammy for some reason says "ohhhh...herbie da bug" every time he sees one! It is the funniest thing! He also says "I wanna baf tub" every morning when he wants to take a bath! He is my little snuggle bug right now! Sammy thinks he is playing soccer too...so the game this weekend should be interesting!!!

This was the best pic I could find of Bob with the boys! Bob celebrated his 32nd Birthday today!!! We love him so much! He is the best daddy ever and the sweetest husband! Tonight I asked Jack what he liked best about Daddy and he said "he always plays with us and always watches the sooners with me!" The boys both think that their daddy hung the moon...and I love it! I hope they grow up to be just like him!!! The boys helped me make apple dumplings for daddy today and Jack kept saying "we have a surprise for you, but I can't tell you because it's your birthday...it's apple dump-a-lings!" I have lots of catching up to do...I am not a good blogger right now!

Happy Birthday Jack Robert!!!My camera is giving me trouble tonight so I don't have any of the pics from Jack's actual birthday today....this is one of my favorite pics of him because he loves this little truck so much!!! Jack Robert turned FOUR years old today!!! I cannot believe it!!! Four seems so big! Today I asked him, "Jack how does it feel to be four" and he said, "I liked three better!" he is just the funniest little guy!

Welcome to our party!

The invitation: a little bag of candy...each piece of candy had the info for the party on them!

My boys love to go to the candy shop...so this year we decided to have a Jarvis Candy Shop for their birthday party! Since they are only 6 days apart and they are still so young, it works out perfect to have their parties together! They are little buddies and I think they really enjoyed sharing their party!

We had little lollipops out in the yard and lots of fun candy hanging above the porch.

Here are a few pics from the party...the top right picture is the super cute cake that Tina Stepp made! She did Sammy's cute little topsy turvy cake last year and I have had so many people call me for her number since then...she is so sweet and does the best job!

The food table...this picture isn't the best quality...but you can see that most of the food was served as "pops" on lollipop sticks... ham and cheese pops, grape pops, donut pops, marshmallow pops, almond and sausage pinwheel pops, pinwheels, little sandwiches wrapped in cellophane and tied on each end to look like a piece of candy!

Everyone had a great time! The boys loved celebrating with some of their sweet friends and family! I didn't get a picture of everyone...but here are most of them!

And the highlight of the party for Jack and Sam....

Aunt GiGi wasn't even supposed to make it to the party...but changed her schedule to be there and she arranged for Herbie to come to the party to celebrate with Jack and Sam! My boys LOVE Herbie! Jack was shaking so hard when he got there and shed a few tears when he had to leave! It was the sweetest thing and something special that Jack will always remember!

All the kids thought that it was really fun to have a car out there to play with...but I don't think many of them really knew who Herbie was!

I'm pretty sure that this was one of the best days of Jack's life! He said bye to him and told him he was going to miss him! I think it brought me, my sister and my sweet mom to tears!!!

Well, we have a TON of birthdays in March...Sammy, Jack, Bob, my sister in law, my dad, my grandpa Shea.... it is a super busy month at the Jarvis house!!! We started celebrating last night with a little party at our house to celebrate with GiGi and Todd since they won't be able to make it to the party! ( I will post some more pics of that later...Today is all about SAMMY!) We are going to celebrate each day this week by doing something fun...Today was Sammy's actual birthday so he got to be king for the day! MiMi and came over and spent the day with us...she took us to lunch and brought Sammy a special birthday balloon, and a little bag of pennies to go throw in the fountain at Northpark (my kids absolutely LOVE to do this....when we were in the hospital with Sammy my mom took Jack on his 2nd birthday to do the same thing! so sweet!) Then we went to dinner with daddy tonight! It was a great day! This is our little Birthday King! (eating a cookie for breakfast...how could I say no...it was his birthday!!!)

We had a great Valentine's Day!

We started last night with a yummy dinner at MiMi and Poppy's house.

My mom made the cutest dinner...lasagna with heart shaped cheese melted on top, salad with homemade heart shaped croutons....it was so cute! She also made all kinds of yummy treats too!!Jack being silly at MiMi and Poppy's house.
I tried to get a picture of the boys this morning in their Valentine's shirts...this was the best I could do!

Daddy took us for doughnies this morning and they had heart shaped pink and chocolate! Jack was super excited...those just happen to be his favorite flavors!

The boys got some little goodies from MiMi and Poppy last night....

sNOW dAY!

We got a little snow (ice) last week and the boys and I were stuck in the house for THREE days! In toddler days that is like a month! They were climbing the walls by Thursday...and so was I!!! On Monday it was fun and we were building tents and watching movies....by Wednesday I was in tears begging Bob to come and get us for lunch!!! Thursday was MUCH better so my mom came over and we watched the boys play out in what little snow was left....Sammy was not too excited about making snow angels!
Of course Side Step and Sub Step had to join in the fun!

Jack is SO funny! Bob was out of town this week so my mom came to stay with us for a few days...Jack has been SUPER sick so my mom was running up to Target and asked if he needed anything...he said "yeah, a cake!"

well, Mimi brought back a huge Lightning McQueen cake...

so after dinner I let him have some and he just kept going on and on about how we all needed to try it and it was so good....we were all laughing pretty hard and then he said

"this cake is so good it reminds me of eatin' cake on my birthday when I was a kid!"

I'm telling you there is never a dull moment at the Jarvis house!!!

A few weeks ago when we went to Dallas for a fun weekend....the boys got to go to MiMi and Poppy's house for a fun weekend of their own! Sammy kept telling MiMi no when she said it was time for a nap....this is what he looked like just a few minutes later!!

The boys had a new race track waiting for them when they got there on Saturday morning!

Jack Robert is the funniest little guy right now!

He LOVES American Idol...or Miracle Idol as he calls it! He holds a little pillow and if he thinks they are bad he holds it up over his face! It is so funny...the other night I was singing to him and he looks at me with this really serious look and said, "I'm gonna say yes to you, here's your ticket....WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD!!!!" I was laughing so hard!!

Daddy with his little buddy! Bob took the boys and his mom to the OU basketball game a few weeks ago! Sammy wanted to wear his hat! I took a few pics of the boys the other day...this was one of my favorites!!! How sweet are these little faces?

Sammy...this little face sums up Sammy's personality! He is the happiest little guy and is so funny right now!!! He is talking like crazy now and he has the sweetest little voice!

6 years ago today I married my best friend!
I cannot believe it has already been 6 years! It feels like it was just the other day!
My parents watched the boys last night and we did a quick over night in Dallas! It was lots of fun to get to spend time alone and talk! (even though most of our conversations were about the boys!) I have been asking Bob all day what he was doing 6 years ago today...I can seriously remember every detail of the day!

We had a great Christmas with the boys! They are at really fun ages right now! Jack loved everything about Christmas this year! The last few years we have had Bob's parents and my parents over for Christmas Eve. We have made a little birthday cake for Jesus every year...but this year I let the boys decorate the whole thing! They did a really good job! Jack just knew that Jesus would want a train cake...so that is what we made!

Happy Birthday Missy and Mindy!

My best friends from high school are twins, Melissa and Melinda Martin...when I met them our freshmen year I could not tell them apart so I just called them "twin" ...I still do it sometimes after all these years! I couldn't find a picture of Mindy from high school because most of those pics are still at my room at my parents house....but I did find this one of me and Missy with another friend of ours, Katy Bradford! The pic on the right is of all three of us at Missy baby shower for Miss Jaycee! I love you girls so much! You are those friends that I can go months not seeing and we can always pick up right where we left off! I love the relationship that we have all have! I can still get the giggles about funny things that you guys said or things that we did together! I have lots of fun memories and I look forward to making lots more! Here are a few pictures that I took of the boys the other day....Sammy is so fun right now! He has turned into a little boy all of a sudden and I'm not quite sure when it happened! He is talking like crazy and is ALL BOY! He loves to play trucks with his brother and he will wrestle with anyone!!! He gets in bed with us every morning and loves to snuggle but as soon as he is done and wants to start his day he climbs down and motions for you to come with his little hand and says "c'mon!" It is the cutest thing! I love this little face!

This is Jack's new best buddy...Side Step...he is a Tonka dump truck that he got last year for Christmas and probably hasn't touched for the whole year! Over the last few months he has really gotten into trucks and cars and building things....He LOVES this truck and races it around the house all day long! If he does something naughty like run into his buddy Ella or his mommy...he quickly says "it wasn't me, it was Side Step!" Jack has quite the imagination these days and I love to sit and just listen to the funny things he comes up with!

On New Years we were at the dinner table talking about the new year and I was trying to explain to him what a resolution was...I told him that at the start of a new year it's nice to set goals and asked him if he had any goals, he said "yeah, I want to learn how to play the drums" then I asked Bob and he said to eat healthier...Jack said "oh yeah mom, I have two....learn how to play the drums and eat healthier!" he cracks us up!!!!

2008 was kind of a rough year at the Jarvis house....I feel bad saying that because I cannot tell you how blessed I am! I love my sweet husband, I adore my boys....I have a great family and sweet friends....and I have a God who loves me so much and has great plans for the Jarvis family...even if they don't look like the plans that I have! I pray that I learn and teach my boys to rely more on the Lord each day!

We had a GREAT Christmas! I am sad that it is over ...but ready for things to be a little calmer around here! December is always so busy....It will be nice to get back in the groove of things!My sweet parents got my boys drum sets for Christmas this year! They LOVE them! I thought they looked so cute! without anyone telling him to do it Jack tapped his little drum sticks together and said "a one, a two, a one two three four!" how funny is that?

Sammy is such a big boy now! He loved Christmas and acted so big all day! He wanted anything and everything that his big brother had!

We have enjoyed lots of fun family time over the last week....it has been nice to relax and just let the boys play at home with their new toys! I have lots more to write about and about 100 pics to look through....but I thought that I would at least get a few of our new boy band up tonight! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

We've had another week of fun and we are counting down the days 'til Christmas!Last Friday night we went to Bricktown with my parents. It was lots of fun!

Jack was snuggled between mommy and MiMi on a carriage ride through bricktown! It was SO COLD!

On Sunday night we went to look at lights...I am usually not a big fan of colored lights but these trees looked so pretty!

We went to get ice cream before the light tour! Sammy didn't like the kiddie size shake we got him...so he is drinking daddy's shake in this one!

Jack had a Happy Birthday Jesus Party at school this week! It was lots of fun! He is sharing his cupcake with his brother! Sweet boy!

I LOVE THESE LITTLE MEN! Sammy was so cute...he just sat at the table with all the big kids!

We met Max and Ella at the Bass Pro Shop one day! There was a little area for kids set up and a Santa...Jack was so excited to see his little buddy Max!

On Saturday we went to the ORM again! They have a little Christmas train every year...this year was our first time to go and I am sure we will be back again next year!

They served hot chocolate and cookies, read the Polar Express,

gave each child a little bell, and...

sang Christmas carols! Bob enjoyed this a little TOO much! He loves a good Christmas tune!

Santa showed up at the end and had a little treat for each child. Sammy kept yelling "ho, ho, ho!"

here are some fun things we did this week....

went to lunch with MiMi and our friend Landyn came to visit, went to Bricktown, new color books about the real Christmas story and some new crayons, lunch with friends after church (we let Jack, Ella and Olivia set at a table all by themselves! They are getting so big!) ice cream and Christmas lights, read Christmas books with Mommy, waffles with "snow" on top, Bass Pro with Ella and Max, School party, Christmas train, helped mommy make some goodies for our friends, played at MiMi's two days this week so mommy could finish some presents she's making (what was i thinking?)

Jack is lovin' Christmas time! He goes through the house singing carols...they aren't exactly the right words...but they are super funny, so we just let him sing! Here are a few of them....

"Deck the cows with cows and jolly...fa la la la la la la la la"

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. it's so much fun it makes me want to say HEY HEY HEY!"

I did teach him the little jingle bells, batman smells version and he thought it was about the funniest thing ever!

Bob and I were talking about how we really want to teach him the real meaning of CHRISTmas and that we didn't want it to be all about getting gifts....I just said "hey buddy, you know the real reason we celebrate Christmas, don't you? it is someone's birthday- and they are VERY SPECIAL!!" Jack said..."GiGi?" (this is my sister for those of you who don't know!?!?) WOW...we have a lot of teaching to do! He is "getting it" more and more each day....

He is also having a really tough time with all the gifts under the tree and not knowing what they are...I really think he is a mini me sometimes! I do not like surprises at all! I mean...if it is a true surprise and I don't know it's coming it's great...but a bunch of gifts that are wrapped and you just have to wait for a certain day to open them drives me bonkers! Well, the first day that the gifts were out Jack came running in my room and said "mom, you are not going to believe this but I think Santa came last night!" I said "oh, mommy wrapped the presents last night when you were sleeping..." he said "no, I really think it was Santa!" then he asked me if he could open them...of course I said no and then he asked me if I would just tell him what was in them... Bless his heart!

I made these little shirts for the boys and they look so cute in them...

so today I decided to take a few pictures of them.

As you can see, it didn't go over very well...This looks like a hug.... but I think my little one might actually be biting his brother's nose!

At this point Jack was crying and I really should have put the camera away...but I just kept thinking if I take enough there has to be a good one in there!

My mom is so good at family traditions...she loves them and has passed it on to me!

I love doing some things she did with us when we were little and doing some new things of our own....

One of my favorite things that she did was the whole month of December we had a surprise of some sort each day until Christmas...sometimes it was a gift and sometimes it was something nice to do for someone else or something fun to do as a family....

we've done it every year since we had Jack and it is so fun because he kind of gets it this year!We made a calendar and each day we put a Happy Birthday Jesus sticker on the day that we are on...when you raise up the little card with the day it tells you how many days until Christmas and what we did that day...
Here are a few of the things that we have done so far....

The boy's school did a little live nativity program...it was really cute! They had live animals that they boys thought were really neat!
I love this picture of Bob with the boys...he had no idea I was right behind him and when I walked in he was holding both boy's hands...it was so sweet!
Before the program they had cookie decorating and crafts for the kids to do...all the kids wore their pj's...it was super cute!
One day we docorated the tree as a family...I was very impressed at how well the boys did...they were both very careful with all the ornaments and thougth it was really fun to look at each of them...
The boys found a great spot for their little people nativity scene...

One day someone special dropped off a little gift on the front porch....

It was the Elf of the Shelf book....it is so cute! There is a little elf that comes with it that you name and he hides somewhere new each day to watch you and report back to Santa...

Last Saturday we made a gingerbread house together....

Jack was very proud!

We've done one of these every year and this year was by far our best one! I bought the kind that is already put together and you just ice it...in the past I have gotten the ones that you have to actually put together with icing yourself...this one was much easier!!!
Sammy thought it was lots of fun too...but he ate more candy than he put on the house!

One day we drew pictures and wrote a letter to Santa...

and then that night we went to see him and he read the letter with Jack,

it was so sweet!

The first day of December we spent the whole day with friends!

My sweet friend Melissa was in town and so we went to see her and her kids, Jackson and Jaycee. Jackson and Jack (who is really Jackson) were only born about a month apart and they don't see each other but maybe like once a year but they really play so well together! Missy and I have been best friends since 9th grade and we always joke that they just know that they have to be friends!

That evening we had dinner at the Tedesco's house. Paige made some yummy taco soup and we let the kids play a little...in this pic they were watching a movie...

December 1st: spend the day with friends. Jackson & Jaycee Brooks. Ella and Max for lunch. Olivia and Grayson for dinner

December 2nd: New movie ...Snowy Days (all of favorites...Bob the Builder, Thomas and Barney on one movie!!!)

December 3rd: Wrote letters to Santa and went to see him.

December 4th: New Santa plates to eat breakfast on. That evening we went to the Live Nativity Program at the boy's school

December 5th: Met Ella and Max for lunch and a play date

December 6th: Made gingerbread houses

December 7th: new bubble bath and Christmas soap

December 8th: Elf on the Shelf book and new sticker books (MiMi also bought the boys their new favorite movie, Herbie!)

December 9th: we rented a bunch of movies and had movie day! We got sleeping bags out and just spent the day snuggling and watching movies!

December 10th: The boys spent the day with their MiMi while mommy worked on some Christmas gifts she is making! We also went to our Life Group Christmas party. It was lots of fun!

December 11th: today Sammy stayed home from school and had a little one on one time with Mommy and MiMi. When Jack got home from school we decorated sugar cookies!

It must run in the family...

UPDATE: My sweet sister brought it to my attention tonight that there is a little type-o on this post...I do only have one DAD! I meant to write Dad's family....oops! That's how rumors get started!

I am really behind on blogging lately...but I thought I would just start with Thanksgiving and then go back and update everything later! We have been so busy and had lots of family in town...it's been lots of fun!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! We went to Norman to celebrate with the Jarvis Family first....the boys had so much fun playing with all the little boys! After lunch they went in the back yard and played a little football with the dads! Jack had so much fun playing in the dirt! he told me that he wanted Santa to bring him a pile of dirt for Christmas!!!

We went over to my parent's house for dinner and all of my dad's came from Bartlesville! It was so much fun...but of course my camera was giving me problems and I wasn't able to get any pics! I really need a new one! (hint hint, Bob!!:)

I cannot tell you how thankful I am this year for these two little boys!

Sometimes we just get so caught up in life and we take all of our blessings for granted....this year Bob and I have realized what a miracle our little boys are and how blessed we are that that Lord has trusted us to raise them! We are so grateful!

These are some of my favorite pics of these little men! They are ALL BOY and I LOVE it! Jack is so into trucks and building things right now...it is really cute! He thought it was so fun to just dig in the dirt!!! I have always been so girly...I never dreamed I would be playing trucks and lincoln logs...but I cannot tell you how much fun it is and I wouldn't change it for the world! Sammy is just so fun right now! He wants to do anything that Jack is doing! They wrestle and fight with each other all the time but they are best buddies! It is so cute!

They were so dirty!!! Thank gooodness I remembered to pack some play clothes this year!

I think the dads had just as much fun as the little guys!

I thought the boys looked so handsome at church on Sunday, so when we got home I took some pics of them before they changed their clothes...it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of the two of them together right now...I don't know how some of you moms do it! They aren't big fans of the camera right now....Here is what I got!These two are best buddies right now! Sam LOVES his daddy! It is super sweet and even though I am extremely jealous I love it! Bob is such a good dad and the boys think he hung the moon! My favorite time of the day is when we hear the garage door go up and the boys go running down the hall to meet him after work! It really is the cutest thing! Sometimes Jack will sit in the hall around 3 o'clock in the afternoon and tell me that he is going to wait for daddy!

Last week my mom did a yummy birthday dinner for Todd! Before we went over there Jack said that he wanted to make him a birthday hat that was green with blue stripes and purple polka dots....so that's what we did! Doesn't the little birthday boy look so cute in his hat? We love you so much Todd and we hope you had a great Birthday!

Trick or Treat

we had a great day...

we spent the day with ella and max and then went to mimi and poppy's house for dinner and to trick or treat in their neighborhood....i took the boys to get their pictures made the other day and told the guy about 100 times that i was really plain and just wanted a black or white background....and this is what we ended up with!?!?! they are really dark but i think you'll be able to see the boys!
